Epworth United Methodist Church

In the 50 years since Epworth United Methodist Church of Indianapolis, IN was built, the church had not undergone a major building project. CF Jones partnered with architecture firm MSKTD & Associates for a church build-out project, including designing and building 2,500 square feet of new space and renovating another 14,500 square feet of existing space. Our work in the first phase of what will be a multi-phase project included:
  • Construction of a new fellowship hall
  • Custom woodwork
  • A new sound booth
  • Matching limestone masonry
  • Incorporation of existing finishes into updated sanctuary
  • Installation of safety lighting and a covered entryway
  • Design and installation of a custom parking lot and handicapped entrance
The exterior finishes of limestone masonry, EIFS and HardiePanel vertical siding complement each other as well as the existing building. The interior’s rich custom woodwork and color choices add interest to the decor of the newly renovated fellowship hall, library, meeting rooms, lobby, classrooms, and church sanctuary. The church’s daycare facility was also completely renovated with new windows, paint, upgraded flooring, woodwork and acoustical ceilings.

As we worked on the church build-out, CF Jones carefully considered ongoing ministries so that construction did not interfere with the Epworth UMC daycare or other programs.

CF Jones received the ABC Award of Excellence for our work on the Epworth United Methodist Church build-out.
