Phi Kappa Psi at Purdue University

Partnering with the architectural firm of Cunningham + Associates, our team provided construction management services at-risk delivery for the new 21,000-square-foot Phi Kappa Psi house at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. The three-story building, located on a 3.5-acre site, includes a full basement, ADA-compliant facilities, and a separate house director apartment. Our construction management services for this Greek housing additions project included:
  • Upgrading and/or replacing plumbing, wet fire suppression system, electrical, and HVAC systems
  • Renovating the full commercial kitchen, ADA-compliant bedrooms, and ADA-compliant bathrooms
  • Large dining hall
  • Creation and installation of custom wood trim and a custom tile entry
  • Extensive work on the full masonry exterior with EFIS accents and 21-foot entry columns
This Greek housing facility was designed for 100 students, with 50 student apartment sleep/study rooms. The large dining room accommodates 100 and is located in the basement, along with the chapter room gathering area. Architectural design elements include four massive 21-ft. entrance columns, the Phi Kappa Psi Greek symbol installed in the entry floor tile, custom millwork throughout the first floor, an exquisite fireplace mantle, ceiling crown molding, and exposed stairs and hand railings.

For our work as general contractor on the Phi Kappa Psi Greek housing additions project, CF Jones earned the ABC Award of Excellence.
